How do online learning classes work? - Billings Gazette
Online classes can be taken completely over the Internet from anywhere a student with a computer can get a connection. Students can register for online classes, tap into the syllabus for the course and assignments. Typically, after students read an assignment in the text, the professor may have online discussions either in real time (synchronous) or a topic may be posted and students can write their responses over a period of time (asynchronous).
