Hi-tech invention helps learning take a leap forward - Nicola Juncar, Evening Chronicle
Three schools in our region are making leaps and bounds - with a little help from a hi-tech invention. The Frog is a brand new piece of technology that’s revolutionising the way children learn, as children at Cramlington Learning Village in Northumberland and Walbottle Campus Technology College and Sacred Heart RC High School, both in Newcastle, have been finding out. According to recent research, only 67% of secondary schools are using a learning platform, but Simon Brown of Cramlington Learning Village says all schools could notice benefits by implementing schemes like Frog. Mr Brown, head of music and virtual learning environment coordinator said: “Frog is changing the way we work both in terms of the when and the how. “The ability to upload and share high-quality resources through a searchable web space is giving staff and students an interface which incorporates features that they are familiar with from real world technologies.
