Blackboard settles legal brawl - Darlene Darcy, MSN Money
Education software company Blackbaord Inc. has agreed to a cross-licensing agreement with Canadian competitor Desire2Learn Inc. to end a three-and-a-half year legal battle over patents. Officials from D.C.-based Blackboard and Desire2Learn announced on Tuesday that they agreed to obtain legal rights to each others’ patent portfolios for online learning technology and dismiss all pending litigation between them.
