Bill Gates has just coughed up a chunk of his hard-earned money to help you out. (Well, a small chunk anyway.) The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation donated $12.9 million dollars as part of its Post-secondary Success initiative. Gearlog has the details behind the contribution, noting its intent is to help advance technology at those institutions, improve standards and increase graduation rates. The aims of these grants are as follows, according to Gearlog: “improve virtual learning improvements, incorporate Web 2.0 tools and social media and create learning tools that are open and available to all students.”
