As a college student, I have definately noticed the increase in online learning. Colleges are starting to offer more blended and online courses. Having these options allows students the time they need to work so they can pay for school. While I can see how online learning is beneficial for college students, I question whether or not it is right for K-12 students. Will not students miss the chance to learn how to socialize with others? How are these students going to motivate themselves to learn? Online classes will help those students who are sick and cannot be in class, or help those who need to make up a failed class, but there are still some benefits to face to face classes, especially in elementary and middle school.
