Preserving Culture/Language via Online Learning - Katie Norman, South Wales Echo
A new speedy but flexible route to Welsh language proficiency has been launched. The new one-year Wlpan course, designed to fast-track adult Welsh language learners, is being launched in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan this month. The course, developed by Cardiff University and the Vale of Glamorgan Welsh for Adults Centre, will enable learners to adapt the course to their lifestyle. Participants can choose to study in the classroom twice or more a week; to blend online learning with classroom lessons, or to undertake a condensed eight-week summer course.
