Game Used in Cultural Training via Online Learning
Educational company Alelo Inc. announced the launch of its unique game-based cultural online learning environment for personnel deploying to the Horn of Africa. Alelo said it developed its Virtual Cultural Awareness Trainer as a game-based, online cultural learning environment to advance training for personnel preparing for tours in the 13 countries under U.S. Africa Command. The company said VCAT is the first of its kind to use a game-based scenario that immerses players in a virtual world that mimics real-life locations in the Horn of Africa. Players in VCAT practice cultural awareness skills in various interactions with African non-player characters in a variety of environments.
