Online Learning; Enrollment spiking at community colleges - Heather Schmelzlen, OF THE MORNING CALL
Kuhns said one way in which colleges are dealing with the increase in enrollment is through creative scheduling. All three colleges said they have seen a tremendous growth in ''distance learning'' or online classes, as well as hybrid courses, which combine on-campus and online instruction. Kuhns said LCCC will run about 150 online courses -- including psychology, math, history, English, business and Spanish, to name a few -- in the fall.
