Now dual-mode education on IGNOU platter in both UG, PG courses - MyNews India
In a major leap to expand its footprint across a larger canvas, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has now started to offer regular courses at both the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels using the flexi-time approach. Until now known for its distance and open learning system, IGNOU now offers full-time programmes in Science, Engineering and Technology, Architecture and Health Sciences, said its Vice-Chancellor V N Rajsekharan Pillai, adding that the programmes were being offered in collaboration with partner institutes, following flexi-time approach. The move is in tune with international trends in education, that now follow flexible modes of education delivery, which combines face-to-face, distance and on-line approaches of knowledge dissemination, he said while addressing students at the release of the annual issue of the Academic Programmes brochure.
