High-tech teaching: Online learning offers benefits/ challenges for area educators - KELLY BEVAN, the Advocate
This fall, Allison Bergeron, a veteran English teacher at Drury High School in North Adams, will teach a poetry writing course for the first time. She will communicate with, give assignments to and grade papers for approximately 25 students hailing from Massachusetts, Maine, Oregon or maybe even South Africa - and she will do this all from her computer. Bergeron is about to enter the realm of Virtual High School.
