'Virtual hospital' allows nurses opportunities to hone skills - John Pollack, Telegraph-Journal
Trisha Coady and her company MedSenses Inc. want to give nurses the chance to learn by making mistakes without risking lives. "We're all human and we all need practice in any industry," the nurse-turned-entrepreneur says. "But you don't want a nurse practising on you." "Nurses are just never allowed to screw up," she says. "We're trying to give them an avenue for them to make mistakes and that be OK." MedSenses currently sells more than 400 online learning continuing education courses for nurses, all of whom have to meet professional development requirements.
