UMBC-based website rides online learning trend - Alethea Paul, Univ. Maryland Baltimore County Retriever
Static texts books are on the way out. Today, students are more interested in interactive learning that they can access at the click of a mouse pad rather than at the turn of the page. With the Internet offering a wide variety supplemental information for schools, online courses, even online colleges and high schools, it is clear that although the degree of online presence in a student's education may vary, this presence is growing overall. With schools more than ever employing internet based information in their curriculums, UMBC-based USDemocrazy.net hopes to be used as a forum for conversation on current events for high school students and above.
