Students embrace online learning virtual classroom - Natasha Robinson, Rocky Mount Telegram
More Edgecombe County Public Schools students are taking advantage of the chance to expand learning beyond the walls of a classroom. District Instructional Technology Specialist Jenifer Marquis spoke on the area’s use of N.C. Virtual Public Schools at the group’s regular meeting. Even this summer, high school students in the district are getting ahead on credits by taking courses such as civics, medieval studies and honors psychology online. SouthWest Edgecombe High School students are enrolled in 92 courses; Tarboro High School students are enrolled in 56 courses; and North Edgecombe High School students are enrolled in 54 courses.
