School district considering online learning to prepare students for college - Joanna Poncavage, THE MORNING CALL
Nazareth Area School District is considering making students take an online class as a requirement for graduation. Superintendent Victor D. Lesky presented the idea during a school board meeting Monday, saying an online high school class would better prepare students for taking such courses in college. The district offers in-house French, German and Spanish foreign language classes. Online classes could expand options to Italian, Russian or Mandarin Chinese, Lesky said. Other potential online classes include advanced courses or summer school classes.
