Research Center Focuses on Community Colleges
The National Research Center for Career and Technical Education (NRCCTE), funded by the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education, recently completed a study that looks at initiatives and policies undertaken by states to increase the access to and affordability of community colleges. The President’s focused investment in community colleges is designed to expand distance online learning opportunities and improve the financial affordability of community college for postsecondary students. NRCCTE’s current research agenda is supportive of the President’s investment in community colleges. Two active studies are looking at online learning and community college retention, respectively. Details on these reports will be available soon.
