Online learning taking off for K-12 - Valerie Schremp Hahn, St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Online programs across the state and country are growing, and for many students they provide another way to pick up an extra class or two not otherwise available at their home districts. For some, online schooling is a full-time venture. St. Louis Public Schools has an online program that requires meeting face to face at a school at least once or twice a week. Kids from some districts in St. Louis County even enroll in that program. One analysis shows that in ten years, about half of all high school classes will be delivered online.
