Minnesota Virtual High School Holds Inaugural Graduation Ceremony: 60 Online Learning Students From Across Minnesota Graduate From Program
Minnesota Virtual High School (MVHS), an accredited online public high school offered by Minnesota Transitions Charter School in partnership with online learning leader Advanced Academics, Inc., will hold its first ever graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 20. The Class of 2009 consists of 60 students, up from 43 last year. 'I am extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of our graduating seniors,' said Jim Roth, principal at MVHS. 'Our program is experiencing rapid growth as students across Minnesota discover the benefits of online learning.' Launched in July 2007, MVHS is a full and part-time program free to state residents in grades 7-12. The program will expand to serve grades 6-12 in the 2009-2010 academic year.
