Girl achieves high school diploma via online learning at 13 - SHANNON MUCHMORE, Tulsa World
Colleges are known to have a share of nontraditional students, but the teenager who received her diploma Friday from the University of Oklahoma High School was even more special.
Paige Epler, 13, of Lake Ridge, Va., became one of the youngest people ever to graduate from high school. The OU High School, which is accredited, is part of the university's Center for Independent and Distance Learning. It allows students to take online high school courses on their own schedule and obtain diplomas.
