Online learning classes becoming commonplace for Michigan students - Jessica Sipperley, Jackson Citizen Patriot
Online classes are becoming more popular for students looking for choices outside the regular curriculum. The Michigan Virtual School serves more than 500 districts in the state, said Scott Vashaw, the virtual school's associate director. Students can enroll in online classes to beef up their advanced courses or make up needed credits. The school offers a variety of core classes and electives, plus 18 advanced placement, or AP, classes.
