Online Learning on the go - Bluefield Daily Telegraph
State officials in Virginia are hoping to take education beyond the classroom through a unique “iTunes” initiative. The new “Virginia on iTunes U” program seeks to engage middle school students in mathematics through mobile learning applications. It establishes a dedicated area within Apple’s iTunes store featuring free access to educational content for students, teachers and others who will be able to “learn on the go” by downloading audio and video content onto an iPod, iTouch or iPhone from any computer with Internet access, according to Gov. Timothy M. Kaine.
