New Online Course Offers College Hope for High School Students with Learning Disabilities
"Conquer College with LD/ADD", a 10-hour course written by a college Learning Specialist and designed to increase the college graduation rates of students with learning disabilities, makes its online debut May 5, 2009. Open to students in grades 9 - 12 and their parents, "Conquer College" teaches students with disabilities how to navigate college wisely, along with and skills/strategies that bode for success. Previously, "Conquer College with LD/ADD" was available only locally, but widespread demand resulted in this new online version. The purpose of this course is to level the college playing field for students with learning differences.
