University officials evaluate online course options - Sannah Parker, Univ. Tennessee Chattanooga Echo
The university continues to develop its online program, according to Provost Dr. Phil Oldham.
Currently, UTC's online program offers the most coursework to students at the graduate level, Oldham said. According to Beth Dodd, Director of the Office of Continuing Education, there are programs for Engineering, Criminal Justice, and Foreign Language among several others. "In the spring semester of 2009, 450 students enrolled in at least one online class," Dodd said. According to Dodd and Oldham, UTC's online program is "right up there with everybody else." "We are definitely in the beginning stages, but we are looking to expand and deliver some additional programs soon," Dodd said.
