Online Learning: A virtual way to learn for students - Moira Sharkey, Wales Western Mail
The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama is creating a “virtual conservatoire” so students around the world can take the Creative Music Technology course. The post-graduate course in Creative Music Technology by Distance Learning uses the latest technology to deliver a global course entirely online. The flexible course is aimed at active music graduates who are involved in creating digital music on their desktop workstations but are unable to attend the college campus in Cardiff. The course has been set up to cater for an increasing numbers of students who have to decide between their ambitions and working to survive: tuition fees, cost of living, family responsibilities and lack of students’ grants and awards, all contribute to conditions that can prevent further education.
