Online Learning Classes At NU Increasingly Popular - Genna Gibson, Daily Nebraskan
The Internet has made once unthinkable feats possible. In the past decade, people have learned how to talk to someone on the other side of the globe, share videos of themselves singing Britney Spears songs and shop for pants while wearing only underwear. Another use of the World Wide Web growing in popularity is taking classes online.Since the University of Nebraska-Lincoln started offering online courses during the normal semester in the last half decade, there has been a large increase in interest in online classes. “We have seen growth every semester we have offered those,” said Laura Wiese, recruitment coordinator for Extended Education and Outreach at UNL.
