Online learning can add classes for small school districts - By Dan Barker, Fort Morgan Times
Small school districts like Wiggins can use Colorado Online Learning as a supplement to their class offerings. COL has online classes in subjects like Latin, French, physics, calculus, accounting, digital photography and Web page design, which small high schools may not be able to offer to their students, said Executive Director Chris Rapp, who came to tell the Wiggins School District Board of Education about his programs Wednesday. Colorado Online is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing online classes for the whole state, he said. It receives its funding partly through the state, although there is a charge to either students or districts for the classes.
