Gym, biology among colleges' online learning options - RANI GUPTA , NC times
Miquella Zulfiqar takes a full load of classes at Mt. San Jacinto College without having to set foot on campus. From her computer, the 19-year-old Temecula resident studies economics, political science and accounting. Zulfiqar prefers the "personal touch" of traditional classes, but says the online courses are a must, given her busy schedule. She runs her own business ---- an indoor batting cage in Murrieta ---- with a small staff and long hours that make it near-impossible for Zulfiqar to travel to campus. But with online classes, Zulfiqar can do assignments at work, plotting supply and demand graphs on her computer screen in between dealing with customers.
