Mandatory e-courses a problem for students - Steven VanderVelde, Purdue University Calumet Chronicle
Many students struggle with e-courses for reasons including unreliable technology, heavy workloads and inconsistency across all available e-courses. Julie Cash, a sophomore in the Organizational Leadership and Supervision program, discovered she would lack a choice between an online class and a traditional class in some courses during her PUC education. Her advisor said at some point she would have to take online classes for some of her OLS courses. "Referring to OLS, some classes are only offered online," Tyanna McCann, an advisor for the school of technology, said. "It assists students who want the degree but have a busy life and really can't attend a regular class due to work or other circumstances."
