College goes ‘distance’ for learning - Andrea King, Journal Newspapers
College courses are now just a computer click away at the Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD). The college is now offering more courses and programs through the Distance Learning Division, where options for taking classes are beyond the traditional classroom, according to officials. “It allows people the ability to pursue higher education anywhere and in multiple locations,” said Dr. Stephanie Bulger, vice-chancellor in the center for distance education and learning technology. “It doesn’t mean it’s easier, but course it’s flexible and can be taken anywhere in the world.”
