Online Learning; Universities must keep up - Charleston Daily Mail
Abilene Christian University in Texas bought more than 600 iPhones and 300 iPods for students starting school this fall. The University of Maryland, Oklahoma Christian and Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn., also have announced that they will give the devices to some or all students this fall. In taking such steps, colleges are trying to build images as cutting-edge institutions - and playing catch-up as well. Stanford University found that students registered more than 700 iPhones with the campus network last year.... Institutions that don't keep up could quickly fall farther behind than they ever dreamed.

Comments:
Potential waster of money, students will be using (already do) these things on their own. Can you insure these go to students in need financially?
