MP3 players play new roles in classrooms - Steve Makris, Canwest News Service
Apple's iTunes U, available through the iTunes Store for Macs and Windows PCs, lets users search, download and play cultural and educational audio and video content. The material is free and, once downloaded on your computer, can be synchronized to your iPhone, iPod or Apple TV. The segments appear on your iPod as tracks stored in their own folder. The subject matter varies from "Ask the podcast doctor" from the University of Michigan to more than 10 hours of extraordinarily thorough lectures on earthquakes from the University of Southern California at Berkeley.
