University students working 'to pay for education'- ATL UK
Higher living costs and economic instability have prompted four in ten students to supplement their university degree with a part-time job. A new survey shows 42 per cent will be in some form of employment when term starts in autumn.... In related news, a recent report published by Universities UK suggests that a drop in student numbers because of money worries and the rising popularity of technology-assisted and distance online learning could lead to the closure of some institutions.
