Online Learning: courses grow in popularity - RT Morgan, The Town Talk
With the emergence of distant and online learning courses, students - young or old, traditional or nontraditional - can access college-level courses from almost anywhere. People like online courses for different reasons, said Cathy Robinson with the Allied Health Department of Louisiana State University at Alexandria. Some of the reasons she has heard from students for going online include gas prices, baby-sitting or general time constraints such as a full-time job.... Amy Robertson, LC's spokeswoman, said the university is seeing student responses similar to the other two universities.
