Online learning enrollment for TCC increases - Angeline J. Taylor, Tallahassee Democrat Staff
Online enrollment for Tallahassee Community College has spiked, said spokeswoman Alice Maxwell. TCC administrators report a 16.8-percent increase in their distance learning program — also known as online classes. This summer 2,611 people enrolled in web-based classes at the college. Last year, 2,235 student enrolled during the same time period, Maxwell said. Barbara Sloan, TCC’s vice president of academic affairs, said ... “Students are concerned about gas prices."
