Going the distance: Convenience spurs higher enrollment in online learning courses - Jorge Labrador, UNLV Rebel Yell
Enrollment of UNLV online learning distance education courses continued its steady rise in fall 2007, according to the UNLV Office of Institutional Analysis and Planning's Selected Institutional Characteristics, also known as the UNLV Fact Book. From 1998 to fall 2007, enrollment in distance learning has gone up by an astounding 23,931. Judith Osterman, director of distance education, said this growth is due to a variety of external factors, including the convenience of Internet classes.
