Web 2.0 Allows Students to Work Together via Online Learning from Anywhere in the World - Converge Magazine
By 2010, New York University students will be able enroll in NYU Abu Dhabi in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. These students will live, learn and earn their degrees in Abu Dhabi. Although they will be thousands of miles from home, they will have no problem collaborating with their NYU counterparts back in the United States -- thanks to Web 2.0 writing tools. Programs such as Google Docs, Zoho Writer, Writeboard and Thinkfree Boundless are helping improve writing skills by creating a forum for group editing. Whether students are studying in New York or the Middle East, they can work together.
