Enrollment For Online Learning Classes Rises - KOAT Albuquerque
One of the three Rs to learning is arithmetic, but for some college students, the pain at the pump means the budget numbers do not add up. In an effort to save money, some students are turning to online courses. When you look at the parking lot at Santa Fe Community College, it does not seem to have much in common with a computer lab, except that both will get you into the classroom. However, one is much cheaper than the other. Sophomore Danielle Garcia said she spends about $90 a week on gas to commute to school. So she and many other students are grabbing a cyber seat in online courses and saving the trip.
