Butler Tech online learning program helps break through medical barriers - Linda Ebbing, Western Star
A medical condition discovered in the fourth grade limits 17-year-old Breanna Williamson's activities, but has not held her back in her educational pursuit. Williamson's condition — Chiari Malformation — is a condition which causes her to have bad headaches and affects her learning ability. Another medical condition limits her ability to sit up for only several hours at a time. But thanks to a program at Butler Tech, Williamson has been able to obtain her high school education. For more than two years Williamson has taken classes through Butler Tech Online — which offers high school courses and college preparatory and foundational level courses.
