Virtual reality gives Second Life to online learning students” - Matthew DiCarlo, the Setonian
Members of the Seton Hall faculty attended a seminar held by the Technology Department regarding a networking program called Second Life. Enraptured by ever-popular social networking sites, such as MySpace and Facebook, many young adults spend a majority of their time posting pictures, personal information and current the current statuses of their lives on the Internet. A massive multiplayer online world, Second Life allows anyone to create a virtual self, or “avatar,” not for slaying dragons and casting spells but existing as a regular person.
