Tutoring can fill online learning grad requirement - PEGGY WALSH-SARNECKI, FREE PRESS
Beginning with the class of 2011 -- this year's 10th-graders -- Michigan students must complete what's called an online learning experience as part of their high school graduation requirements. But don't think that just signing your child up for online tutoring will cover the bases. While school districts have leeway in deciding what meets that requirement, they must approve it before you sign up if it's going to count.
