President wants to 're-engineer' students' college education including expanding online learning - Melinda Lauber, University of Toledo Independent Co
UT President Lloyd Jacobs wants to re-engineer UT's undergraduate experience. He revealed at his second-annual community address on Wednesday morning that he intends to do so through four avenues. The avenues are: (1) organizing courses into systems that define how classes are linked to fulfilling university requirements, (2) faculty development, (3) expanding computer-assisted and distance learning and (4) "mass customization" of coursework, or what he defines as "extreme student centeredness."
