THE 21ST CENTURY CLASSROOM - MELINDA SKUTNICK, Mooresville Tribune
The community got a crash course in the technological future of students in the Mooresville Graded School District Monday evening. Some 700 parents, students, teachers and community leaders attended the MGSD’s two-part 21st Century Digital Symposium. And whether it was viewing the technological advances that are coming into Mooresville classrooms or listening to a trio of nationally known speakers, all attendees received a sneak-peak of Mooresville’s future – one that could potentially better prepare students for the workforce. “I’m so excited about what’s happening here in Mooresville,” said speaker Susan Patrick, president and CEO of the North American Council for Online Learning (NACOL). “What you are doing is the first step in preparing your students for the world they live in today.”
