Insight School opens virtual doors - Lisa Cromwell, The Hilsboro, Oregon Argus
Public high school students in West Washington County have a new way to learn - online learning in cyberspace. Armed with laptops, printers and an Internet stipend, 19 Insight Oregon students in Washington County started logging in to the school's virtual online learning classrooms when Insight opened its virtual doors Jan. 29. They include four online learners from Hillsboro, one from Forest Grove, one from Cornelius and 11 from Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin and Sherwood, said Carey Evenson, an Insight spokesman. Insight, a tuition-free online public high school, grants diplomas to students who earn them, he added.
