Using Online Alternatives - SHAWN DAY, Daily Press
While Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools administrators spent months working to open an alternative school for suspended and expelled students, Jamarr Graves was logging onto a computer at a public library and catching up on his studies. As one of a handful of students enrolled in the new Academy for Life and Learning last semester, Graves had access to an Internet-based academic program that district administrators introduced this school year.
