MVHS freshmen now have laptops - ROB NOVIT, Aiken Standard
About 440 Midland Valley High School freshmen are doing a lot of googling this weekend on their new Dell laptops.... The students will keep the laptops during the school term through graduation. The hope among educators is that the laptop "iAm" project will have a positive impact on the graduation rates at Midland Valley, which are the district's lowest.... "We're using an online learning environment, so that teachers can store documents and the students can look them up," said Beym. "It's wonderful that the students can expand their learning outside of these walls. They can go home and do work, where the parents can see it and join in."
