Applications Still Open For St. John’s University’s Distance Learning, Study Abroad Global Development And Social Justice Master’s Concentration
Students in the Global Development and Social Justice Concentration come from around the world, including Thailand, India, Russia, Italy, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Colombia, the Philippines, Canada, Italy, and the United States. They bring a broad range of experience to their studies: they are engineers, attorneys, educators, journalists, social workers, pastoral ministers and political scientists. Each student receives a fully equipped notebook computer and a digital camera, technology that makes it possible for students to participate in distance online learning courses. The technology also allows students to begin the networking and relationship building that makes it possible for them to engage with each other and with their professors in teaching and online learning, sharing local experiences and acquiring a distinctive hands-on perspective on globalization.
