Educators give high marks to online learning - John Ebersole, President Excelsior College
Your recent editorial ("Excelsior's online role," Dec. 2) that focused on the importance of measuring learning outcomes was right on the mark. Online education will increasingly be an important educational venue as the knowledge economy requires people to regularly upgrade their skills and retool to adapt to changing technologies and industries. Using online courses, schools can tailor educational programs to individual learning styles and challenge students to demonstrate and apply their knowledge through sophisticated simulations.
