Radford University could be forced to spend at least $95,000 next year to make sure students don't get booted from their distance-learning courses and professors can stream online learning video for classroom instruction. The university's top administrators are looking into the best way to purchase more bandwidth -- the space and the speed available for a person's computer to access the Internet and download information such as video, graphics or music."[Making changes] is common in just technology in general," said Danny Kemp, the school's chief information officer. "Now, because people are doing more and more and some of those things are more bandwidth intensive, it's more difficult."
