Mobile learning via podcasting - Leigh Robinson, Swindon UK Advertiser
Apple Distinguished Educator, David Baugh, will be at New College Swindon next week to launch a new mobile learning initiative. The college, along with three others in the area, has been awarded £250,000 by the Learning Skills Council to develop a range of podcasts to enhance students' learning and David will be on hand to demonstrate the different ways in which a podcast can be created.... The podcasts will be created by both staff and students and will feature a variety of audio and video material. A proportion of the funding will be spent on purchasing 1,000 iPods to be distributed between the four partner colleges; New College, Swindon College, Cirencester College and Wiltshire College, to ensure that all students in the relevant curriculum areas have access to the podcasts.
