Libraries launch new IM service - Christine Bolanos, Baylor Lariat
In the 21st century, instant messaging is used by virtually every young person in the United States with Internet access. It is fast, easy and free. This fall Baylor libraries will launch the IM Your Baylor Librarian Service, where students will be able to IM librarians during regular library hours. "This system will make reference librarian more accessible to students because they will now be able to get instant help from the convenience of their own laptop or PC," said Tina Libhart, library publications coordinator. "Students can just add a librarian to their IM buddy list and ask for help,: Libhart said.
