State paying for Web courses - Morgan Josey Glover, Greensboro News Record
Now is the time for interested Guilford County high school students to register for online college courses being offered this school year across the state. State legislators this week approved spending $11.5 million on a new Learn and Earn Online initiative, which helps students attending public high schools earn high school and college credit for free. Who's it right for? Those who are college-bound, have a high tolerance for written communication and have independent study habits. Access to high-speed Internet at home is helpful but not required.
